Virtual Private Network (VPN) Service is available for all staff, students, and authorized contractors.
You can establish a secure connection to our network from outside the university. This means that the data passing between your computer and the university’s network is protected as it is strictly encrypted.
Most of the university’s resources do not require a VPN connection, as they are accessible and secure via other methods, such as two-factor authentication. For example, you can access email and other student services online without the VPN.
When you need to use the VPN
If your computer is not connected to the university’s network but you want to access certain resources, you may need to establish a VPN connection. For example, you may need to use the VPN if:
- Working from home

To access the VPN service, you must be:
- A staff member
